BIRGUNJ: The Parsa District Court has ordered the release of Rajesh Man Singh on bail in connection with document forgery and citizenship-related charges.

A bench led by Judge Gayatri Prasad Regmi set bail at RS 400,000 for the forgery case and Rs 15,000 for allegedly obtaining citizenship through false information.

Mayor Singh was arrested by police in Thori today, 10 days after an arrest warrant was issued against him. He was subsequently presented before the court.

The case stems from allegations that forged documents, including a birth registration certificate, citizenship certificate, and passport, were prepared using falsified signatures. The investigation was launched following a complaint filed by Liyakat Ali.
