NEW DELHI: A fire broke out at Flourish Stay B&B in Malviya Nagar, Delhi, on Wednesday at 08:48 AM, leaving at least 21 people dead and more than 40 others rescued, according to police.

Local police reached the site immediately after receiving information and launched rescue, evacuation, and relief operations in coordination with fire services and other emergency responders.

A total of eight fire engines were deployed to bring the blaze under control. Authorities confirmed that the fire has now been extinguished.

The rescued individuals were shifted to nearby hospitals for medical treatment. Officials said search and rescue operations are still ongoing, with all concerned agencies continuing work at the site to ensure further assistance to affected persons.
