KATHMANDU: CPN (UML) Chairman KP Sharma Oli has strongly criticized the current political situation and termed the recent elections a “farce” and a “drama.”

Addressing a party membership renewal workshop, Oli claimed the election results were predetermined.

He alleged irregularities, such as easily erasable ballot ink and suspicious voting outcomes where candidates with canceled nominations somehow won.

While noting that the UML understood this reality beforehand unlike other parties, he called for an investigation into the election process.

Despite these serious reservations, Oli stated that his party has accepted the results and is participating in parliament to champion nationalism, democracy, and development.

Concurrently, the UML chief issued a stern warning to the current government and state mechanisms, cautioning officials not to become arrogant.

“Time and circumstances do not remain the same,” Oli warned, adding that the current political dispensation will not last long and questioning how long the ongoing “anarchy” would persist.
