11 killed, 127 injured in road accidents across Nepal in 24 hours

KATHMANDU: At least 11 people lost their lives and 127 others were injured in road traffic accidents reported across Nepal over the past 24 hours, according to official data released by Nepal Police.

The latest figures show a concerning rise in traffic-related casualties nationwide. Kathmandu Valley recorded the highest number of injuries, with 39 people injured and three fatalities.

Lumbini Province also reported three deaths and 10 injuries, while Koshi Province recorded two fatalities and 38 injuries. Gandaki Province reported two deaths but no injuries during the reporting period.

In Bagmati Province, excluding Kathmandu Valley, one person was killed and 12 others were injured. Madhesh Province reported no fatalities but recorded 16 injuries. Similarly, Sudurpashchim Province and Karnali Province reported no deaths, with six injuries each.
