Car carrying two RSP MPs meets with accident in Gulmi

KATHMANDU: A car carrying members of the House of Representatives met with an accident on Friday evening at Raidi along the Tamghas-Burtibang road section in Resunga Municipality-4, Gulmi.

According to the police, an electric car (Ba. Pra.-01-029 Cha 7343) en route to Tamghas from Baglung lost control and veered off the road, getting stuck on the edge of the cliff at around 5:40 PM.

The vehicle was being driven by Sushant Baidik, a Rashtriya Swatantra Party (RSP) lawmaker elected from Pyuthan. Sagar Dhakal, the House of Representatives member from Gulmi Constituency-1 and also an RSP lawmaker, was among the three passengers on board.

Police confirmed that no casualties or injuries were reported in the incident. The vehicle has been retrieved from the site and brought to the district headquarters, Tamghas. Further investigation into the cause of the accident is underway.
