KATHMANDU: Six Nepali student teams have won prestigious international awards at Codeavour 7.0, the world’s largest artificial intelligence (AI), coding, and robotics competition.

Held at Binus University in Jakarta, the event saw nine teams from Nepal compete against participants from over 70 countries.

In addition to the six award-winning teams, three other Nepali teams secured spots within the global top 30.

Codeavour is an annual global tech competition for students aged 7 to 18 that encourages youth to develop tech-based innovations aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

The Nepali participants—representing Asia Pacific School, Reliance Public School, Daisy Boarding School, and SkillsUp Global—excelled with projects targeting real-world challenges such as unsafe drinking water, air pollution, smart agriculture, and medicine management.

A special ceremony was later organized in Kathmandu by SkillsUp Global and Nima Education Foundation to honor the students’ international success.
