RAUTAHAT: One person died after being hit by a vehicle on the Samanpur–Garuda road section in Sundarpur, Ward No. 4 of Gadhimai Municipality on Tuesday morning.

The deceased has been identified as Pramod Sahani. According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Basant Gautam, the vehicle involved has not yet been identified, and police are searching for it.

Police reported that the victim’s left leg was entangled in the bicycle’s handlebar and that he had suffered serious head injuries. The body has been sent to Provincial Hospital Gaur for post-mortem examination. An investigation is ongoing.
