KATHMANDU: Newly reappointed Home Minister Sudhan Gurung visited Maitighar Mandal today to personally listen to the grievances of victims staging ongoing sit-in protests.
According to the Minister’s private secretariat, Gurung arrived at the protest site specifically to engage with the demonstrators and hear their concerns.
After listening to their individual grievances, Minister Gurung expressed a firm commitment to collectively address and resolve their demands.
The visit marks a notable return to public-facing for Gurung, who recently made a comeback to the cabinet.
He was reinstated as Home Minister on June 9 after being cleared of personal asset disclosure allegations that had led to his resignation earlier this year.
