KATHMANDU: Four-time world champions Germany National Football Team defeated Caribbean nation Curaçao National Football Team 7–1 in a Group E match of the 2026 FIFA World Cup played in Houston.
Germany scored three goals in the first half and added four more after the break. Kai Havertz netted twice, while Felix Nmecha, Nico Schlotterbeck, Jamal Musiala, Nathaniel Brown and Deniz Undav scored one goal each.
Nmecha gave Germany an early lead in the sixth minute. Curaçao equalized in the 21st minute through Livano Comenencia, making it 1–1. Schlotterbeck restored Germany’s advantage in the 38th minute before Havertz converted a penalty in first-half stoppage time to make it 3–1.
Musiala extended the lead in the 47th minute, Brown added another in the 68th minute, and Undav scored in the 78th minute. Havertz completed his brace with a goal in the 88th minute, sealing a dominant 7–1 victory.
With the win, Germany earned three points and moved to the top of the Group E standings.
