KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index has increased by 1.63 points to reach 2,702.11 points. On Friday, the Sensitive Index, which measures the trading of large companies, increased by 0.31 points to reach 463.98 points.
Based on trading, the share prices of a total of 116 companies have recorded an increase. Meanwhile, the share prices of 140 companies have declined, while the share prices of 17 companies remained unchanged.
On Friday, a total of 10,922,525 shares of 353 companies were bought and sold for Rs 4.534 billion.
In terms of turnover, Global IME Bank Debenture 2030/31 secured the top position. Similarly, Global IME Bank Debenture 2027/28, Sopan Pharmaceuticals, Ankhu Khola Hydropower Company, and United Modi Hydropower successfully finished within the top five.
Shareholders of Apollo Hydropower, Sopan Pharmaceuticals, Support Microfinance, Reliance Finance, and Gurans Laghubitta emerged as gainers. Conversely, investors of Bungal Hydro, Aatmanirbhar Laghubitta, Citizens Bank Debenture, Siddhartha Investment Growth Scheme, and Salpa Bikas Bank emerged as losers.
