RSP general convention: E-voting facility, voters from abroad can vote via app

CHITWAN:  E-voting facility is to be made available in the general convention of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP).

According to RSP’s election commission chief Bhuwan KC, voters can cast their votes by touching names and photos of candidates on an electronic device.

It is estimated that the first phase of voting will be completed in about six hours. Voting will take place for one chairperson and 99 members In the first phase.

KC informed that elections for vice-chairperson, general secretary, and joint general secretary will be held in the second phase from the elected members.

KC shared that the nomination process will start at 2 pm on June 22, and the first phase of elections is planned for the same evening.

After the first phase is completed by the night of June 22, the second phase will be held on June 23, according to KC.

The second phase of the election will be only for office bearers. He shared that there is an estimated 3,000 representatives.

For representatives from abroad, RSP has arranged voting through its own app. Among the 170 representatives from abroad, can vote via the app.
