BIRATNAGAR: Three people, including two police officers, were injured after a 29-year-old man attacked them with a knife in Biratnagar Metropolitan City-1, Morang, on Sunday.
The suspect, identified as Rubin Karki, allegedly attacked police officers, family members, and rehabilitation center staff who had gathered outside his rented room after reports that he had locked himself inside and was attempting self-harm.
The injured are Assistant Sub-Inspector Bhojraj Regmi, Police Constable Himal Ghimire, and Santosh Sapkota, a staff member of Sathibhai Nepal Rehabilitation Center. All sustained head injuries and are undergoing treatment at Nobel Medical College Teaching Hospital. Their condition is reported to be stable.
Police have taken Karki under control and launched an investigation into the incident.
