BARA: Three people died this evening after a motorcycle hit a pedestrian at Chhatapipara in Jeetpursimara Sub-Metropolitan City-9, Bara.
The accident occurred at Chhatapipara Chowk when a motorcycle with registration number Ba 68 Pa 7591, heading towards Birgunj from Jeetpur, struck a pedestrian who was crossing the road.
According to Police Spokesperson and Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Min Bahadur Ghale of the District Police Office, two youths riding the motorcycle and one pedestrian died in the accident.
Out of the deceased, only two have been identified so far.
DSP Ghale informed that the deceased motorcycle riders have been identified as 20-year-old Sabhya Adhikari, originally from Pathlaiya, Jeetpursimara-1, currently residing in Kathmandu, and the motorcycle rider Dijen Joshi from Tokha Municipality, Kathmandu.
The identity of the deceased pedestrian is yet to be established.
All three individuals, who were critically injured in the crash, were rushed to the hospital where doctors pronounced them dead.
According to DSP Ghale, the bodies of Joshi and Adhikari are currently kept at Vayodha Hospital, while the body of the pedestrian is at Narayani Hospital.
