KATHMANDU: One person died and 17 others were injured when a jeep overturned at Lovely Danda in Waling Municipality-7, Syangja.

The vehicle, traveling from Tapke to Waling, lost control and crashed along the Mirdi-Chapakot road section.

The deceased has been identified as 25-year-old Rajendra Birkatta.

Among the injured, 12 have been rushed to Pokhara for further treatment, with three in critical condition.

Police have detained the jeep driver, Min Bahadur Saru, who sustained minor injuries.
