NEPALGUNJ: Tourism entrepreneurs in Nepalgunj have urged Minister for Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation Khadk Raj Paudel to initiate direct Nepalgunj-Delhi flights, saying the route is essential to attract more international tourists to western Nepal.

During the minister’s inspection of Nepalgunj Airport, the entrepreneurs also called for the resumption of Nepalgunj-Pokhara flights and an end to airfare discrimination against foreign tourists. Responding to the concerns, Minister Paudel said the government is actively working to promote Nepal’s tourism sector and pledged to pursue policy reforms to further develop the industry.
