KATHMANDU: According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division under the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, Nepal is set to experience variable weather over the next three days, featuring moderate rain with thunderstorms in the hilly and mountainous regions.

Tonight (Wednesday), heavy rainfall is expected in isolated areas of the hilly and terai regions within Koshi, Gandaki, Lumbini, and Sudurpashchim provinces.

Over Thursday and Friday, generally cloudy conditions will prevail nationwide, bringing moderate rain, thunderstorms, and snow to the high-altitude areas.

Specifically, Thursday afternoon carries a risk of heavy rain in isolated hilly spots of Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini, alongside moderate showers in the Terai plains.

By Friday, the weather will slightly clear to partly cloudy in the Terai, though scattered moderate rain and thunderstorms will persist across the country’s hilly and mountainous terrains.
