KATHMANDU: The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology’s Meteorological Forecasting Division has announced that this year’s monsoon has completely covered Nepal, now extending into the Karnali and Sudurpashchim provinces.
Entering the country’s eastern region on June 19—six days later than average—it took a total of 12 days to fully envelope the nation.
Heavy cloud cover blankets most regions, with light to moderate rainfall already occurring in several parts of Bagmati, Lumbini, Karnali, Sudurpashchim, and Koshi provinces.
Wednesday’s forecast predicts nationwide overcast conditions with widespread moderate rain and high-altitude snowfall, alongside warnings for heavy downpours in isolated hilly areas of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, and Karnali provinces.
Citizens are advised to stay updated on weather alerts and take necessary safety precautions.
