KATHMANDU: Continuous rainfall, floods and landslides have severely disrupted traffic along several major highways across various provinces.

According to the latest update released by the Nepal Police on Thursday, multiple road sections in Koshi, Bagmati, Lumbini, and Karnali provinces are completely blocked, while others have been limited to one-way traffic.

Landslides have reduced vehicular movement to one-way traffic along sections of both the Mechi Highway and the Mid-Hill Highway.

Meanwhile, authorities have completely banned all vehicles running on the Khurkot–Nepalthok–Katunje Besi route from operating along that section of the B.P. Highway.

However, traffic remains operational in a one-way capacity at Bhyakure Khola in Roshi Rural Municipality-11, Kaldhunga.
