KATHMANDU: According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, the country is currently under the influence of monsoon winds, bringing generally cloudy skies.
On Friday, various regions will experience medium to heavy rainfall with thunder and lightning, while high mountainous areas face snowfall.
Rain has already hit parts of Bagmati, Koshi, and Lumbini provinces in the morning.
By afternoon, rain or snow is expected in hilly and mountainous regions, alongside scattered thundershowers in the Terai.
At night, heavy rain warnings are active for isolated hilly and Terai areas of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces, with rain and snow also forecast for mountainous Karnali and Sudurpashchim.
Weather conditions will persist into Saturday, July 4, with cloudy skies in hilly and mountainous areas and partial cloudiness in the Terai.
Medium rainfall and snowfall will continue nationwide.
On Saturday night, conditions will turn completely cloudy in Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpashchim provinces, with a possibility of heavy rainfall in isolated hilly and Terai areas of Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, and Sudurpashchim.
