KATHMANDU: Norwegian Ambassador to Nepal Dagny Mjøs paid a courtesy call on Minister of Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation Biraj Bhakta Shrestha on Wednesday, with discussions focusing on Nepal’s next phase of energy sector development.

According to the Royal Norwegian Embassy in Kathmandu, the meeting covered the productive use of electricity, strengthening electricity transmission and distribution infrastructure, improving energy efficiency, and enhancing institutional capacity.

The ambassador and the minister also reaffirmed the longstanding partnership between Norway and Nepal, expressing a shared commitment to supporting reliable, affordable, and sustainable energy to promote Nepal’s economic growth and regional energy cooperation.
