KATHMANDU: The Department of Passports has announced a two-day suspension of passport services on July 9 and 10 to facilitate the migration of its operations from the current system to a new one.
This follows a prior public notice issued by the department on July 3 regarding the upcoming upgrade. While regular processing and application services will remain closed during this period, the department has clarified that ready passports will continue to be distributed.
Applicants who have received an SMS notification on their mobile phones confirming that their passport is ready can visit the department to collect it.
