KATHMANDU: The Nepal Red Cross Society (NRCS) has announced strict disciplinary action against any officials, members, or staff found misusing Red Cross-branded vehicles, ambulances, and official emblems.

Following an official circular issued by the central office, Central Ad-hoc Committee Chairman Bishal Bhandari warned that anyone ignoring the directives will face penalties under the organization’s current constitution, regulations, and code of conduct.

“The use of these vehicles, ambulances, and the Red Cross symbol for personal, family, commercial, political, or any other non-institutional purposes is strictly prohibited,” Chairman Bhandari said.

He emphasized that these resources must exclusively serve humanitarian and official administrative functions.
