KATHMANDU: The district police in Lamjung have seized five abandoned single-barrel muzzle-loading shotguns that were found hidden in different locations.

A police team led by Police Inspector Dhruva Prasad Sharma, deployed from the Bhortletar Area Police Office under the District Police Office Lamjung, recovered the weapons on Friday from areas within Ward No. 6 and 9 of Madhyanepal Municipality.

According to the police, the five shotguns have been taken into custody, and a thorough investigation is underway to determine the ownership and the intended purpose of the hidden firearms.
