KATHMANDU: The government has formed a five-member committee to investigate the self-immolation of Ganesh Nepali, Home Minister Sudhan Gurung informed the House of Representatives on Friday.

Addressing the House, Gurung said the committee will be led by Deputy Inspector General of Police Govinda Thapaliya and will conduct an impartial investigation into the incident.

The Home Minister also said three Kathmandu Metropolitan City municipal police personnel have been taken into custody for questioning in connection with the case.
