CHITWAN: Traffic has fully resumed along the Narayangadh–Muglin road section after debris from landslides at 15 different locations was successfully cleared.

According to Engineer Arjun Ghimire from the Division Road Office in Bharatpur, continuous rainfall starting Monday afternoon triggered landslides from 7:00 PM that continued through the night, blocking the road at Bhateri, Khor Khola, 15 Kilo, 11 Kilo, 16 Kilo, 19 Kilo, Ghumaune, 25 Kilo, Jalbire, Namsi Khola, Tuin Khola, and two locations each in Setidobhan and Simaltal.

While the landslide at Setidobhan completely blocked both lanes and other locations were partially blocked, heavy equipment, including two loaders, was deployed overnight to clear the debris, restoring two-way traffic by Tuesday morning.

Although clearance efforts had progressed enough to allow vehicle movement by 1:00 AM, authorities had to wait until morning to fully open the road due to the high risk of further falling rocks, prompting the local administration to strongly urge commuters to avoid night travel along this stretch whenever possible as landslides can occur at any time.
