KATHMANDU: Kathmandu Metropolitan City’s municipal police have resumed field operations after temporarily suspending street duties over security concerns.

The withdrawal of municipal police had resulted in an increase in illegal parking and renewed sidewalk encroachment in New Road and other parts of the city.

In response, the metropolitan office has fully redeployed its personnel to enforce traffic and public space regulations and restore order.
