Prachanda departs for Sri Lanka to attend Asian Dialogue

KATHMANDU: Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’, the coordinator of the Nepali Communist Party (NCP), departed today for Colombo, Sri Lanka.

He is visiting to participate in the Asian Dialogue, organized by the International Peoples Assembly, which will be held from July 16 to 18.

Dahal is accompanied by a delegation of NCP leaders, including Balram Baskota, Baldev Chaudhary, Dama Sharma, Madhav Pant and Ganga Dahal.

According to his private secretariat, during his stay in Sri Lanka, Coordinator Dahal is scheduled to pay courtesy calls on the country’s President and Prime Minister.

He will also hold meetings with the General Secretary of the Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna (JVP) and the General Secretary of the Communist Party of Sri Lanka, among other political dignitaries.
