KATHMANDU: Vice President Ram Sahay Prasad Yadav returned home this afternoon after completing a three-day official visit to Qatar.

Vice President Yadav had departed for Qatar on Tuesday to express condolences on behalf of the Government of Nepal over the passing of Qatar’s former Emir, Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani.

He was received at the VVIP lounge of Tribhuvan International Airport by Minister for Foreign Affairs Shishir Khanal. Foreign Secretary Amrit Bahadur Rai and other high-ranking officials were also present on the occasion.

During the visit, Vice President Yadav met with the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, on Wednesday and handed over a condolence message sent by President Ram Chandra Paudel. Senior officials of the Government of Nepal also accompanied the Vice President during the visit.
