On the first trading day of the week today (Monday), the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) has increased by double digits. The NEPSE, which fluctuated throughout the day, finally closed by increasing by 41.70 points. The trading amount of the NEPSE, however, decreased compared to the previous day.

Compared to the previous trading day, today the NEPSE stopped at 2,719.24 points, increasing by 1.55 percent.

On today’s day, the sensitive index also increased by 4.22 points and stopped at 472.60 points. On the basis of percentage, this is higher by 0.90 percent compared to the previous trading day. Similarly, the float index increased by 1.29 percent and the sensitive float index increased by 0.92 percent.

In the stock market on Monday, at least 12,245,337 shares were bought and sold in 67,155 transactions of 343 companies. According to this, a transaction of Rs 5.512 billlion took place on Monday.

In the NEPSE today, the share prices of only 239 companies increased. While the share prices of 32 companies went down, the share prices of 5 companies remained stable. In the NEPSE today (Monday), among the 13 groups traded, the index of the mutual fund group decreased, while the indices of all the remaining 12 groups increased and became green.

According to this, in the NEPSE on Monday, the indices of Commercial Bank went up by 0.55 percent, Development Bank by 1.48 percent, Finance by 0.93 percent, Hotel and Tourism by 1.98 percent, Hydropower by 2.79 percent, Investment by 1.55 percent, Life Insurance by 0.84 percent, Manufacturing and Processing by 3.21 percent, and the Microfinance subgroup by 0.37 percent.

While the index of the mutual fund group decreased by 0.02 percent, the sub-indices of non-life insurance increased by 0.44 percent, others by 2.81 percent, and the trading group by 1.14 percent.

In the NEPSE on Monday, the investors of Everest Color Limited earned 14.97 percent. Similarly, the investors of Aatmanirbhar Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha, however, lost 6.86 percent of their share price.

On the basis of trading amount, Ankhu Khola Hydropower Company remained in the foremost position today. On Monday, a transaction of Rs 291.5 million of this took place.

Similarly, on the basis of the number of shares traded, Ankhu Khola itself remained ahead today. On Monday, at least 785,535 shares of this were traded. Its final trading price today was maintained at Rs 374 per share.
