KATHMANDU: The ruling Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has issued a five-point directive to its Members of Parliament (MPs) regarding strategic coordination, public dialogue, and organizational strengthening during constituency and district visits.

Issued via a circular by Party General Secretary Bipin Kumar Acharya, the guidelines emphasize that parliamentary visits must go beyond formal routine to actively expand party ideology, energize the organization, and bring citizens’ voices to Parliament.

The five directives instruct MPs to: maintain institutional coordination and prior notice with local party committees; prioritize local issues through pre-discussions; foster organizational ownership by actively involving local structures; observe strict austerity and good governance by avoiding unnecessary expenditures; and establish a policy feedback mechanism to document public feedback and present it to the parliamentary party.

General Secretary Acharya highlighted that effective parliamentary roles and organizational efficiency are complementary efforts essential to elevating the party’s institutional maturity and public accountability.
