KYIV: Russian attacks across Ukraine have left at least 15 people dead, including 10 killed in a daytime ballistic missile strike on a defense sector drone exhibition near Kyiv that also injured roughly 100 others.
Key defense figures Serhiy Beskrestnov and Lyuba Shypovych confirmed they were unharmed after initial safety fears, while Ukrainian officials noted that air defenses intercepted only one of the three missiles fired.
Russia’s Defense Ministry confirmed the strike, stating high-precision weapons targeted a site where drone producers, military personnel, and security services involved in strikes on Russian territory were demonstrating UAV technology.
Additional casualties included five people killed by glide bombs in Sloviansk and two in Sumy, following a Ukrainian strike on Kirov and Wildberries warehouses that killed six in Russia.
President Volodymyr Zelensky warned that intelligence indicates Russia is preparing another massive missile strike within 48 hours.
