KATHMANDU: The newly established Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation has approved its organizational structure, becoming the second ministry to finalize its staffing framework.
The ministry, led by Minister Mahabir Pun, approved the structure on Monday and forwarded it to the Department of National Personnel Records (Civil) for formal registration.
The approved structure provides for 90 positions, including one Special Class Secretary as the administrative head and three Joint Secretaries, comprising two from the Engineering Service and one from the Administration Service.
According to the Department of National Personnel Records (Civil), the ministry’s organizational structure was registered on a fast-track basis the same day. The department has formed a dedicated task force to expedite the registration of organizational structures for newly established ministries.
With the approval of its organizational structure, the ministry is expected to accelerate personnel deployment and begin full-scale operations focused on scientific research, technology, and innovation.
