KATHMANDU: Nepal’s Chaudhary Group, through CG Hospitality Global, has signed an agreement with Marriott International to develop a five-star luxury JW Marriott hotel in Siliguri, India, in partnership with India’s prominent industrial firm, the MLA Group.

The hotel is expected to open within three years to cater to the growing number of foreign tourists visiting the region.

Specific details regarding the investment amount and room count have not been disclosed.

CG Hospitality maintains a global portfolio of over 220 hotels and resorts across 130 destinations.

Its partner, the MLA Group, is an established Indian manufacturer of industrial raw materials and specialty chemicals used in the plastic, rubber, paint, and pharmaceutical sectors.
