Foreign Minister Khanal returns home after completing India visit

KATHMANDU: Foreign Minister Shishir Khanal returned home today after completing a three-day official visit to India. He had left for New Delhi on Friday at the friendly invitation of India’s Minister for External Affairs, Dr. S. Jaishankar.

During the visit, Minister Khanal held delegation-level bilateral talks with his Indian counterpart on Saturday. The discussions focused on further enhancing development cooperation, connectivity, trade and transit, energy, and people-to-people relations.

While in New Delhi, Foreign Minister Khanal also held separate meetings with India’s National Security Advisor Ajit Doval and Dr. Vijay Chauthaiwale, the Foreign Affairs Department Chief of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
