KATHMANDU: Nepalgunj Sub-Metropolitan City has introduced an estimated budget of Rs 1.76 billion along with its policies and programs for the upcoming fiscal year 2026/27.
Presented by Mayor Prashant Bista during the 19th municipal assembly session, the budget aims to transition toward a technology-friendly, inclusive, and accountable city.
The financial plan relies on federal conditional grants (Rs 68.62 million), fiscal equalization (Rs 27.28 million), internal revenue (Rs 25 million), revenue sharing, and land registration fees, alongside provincial funding and local taxes to drive the region’s development.
