NEPSE drops by 14.87 points today

KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index has recorded a double-digit decline. Today, the NEPSE index fell by 14.87 points to settle at 2,634.23.

According to the NEPSE, 21.1828,231 shares of 314 companies were bought and sold 102,445 times, resulting in a turnover of Rs 9.6348.

The development bank group increased by 0.88, life insurance by 0.95 and production and processing group by 0.34 percent, while all other group sub-indices decreased. Banking by 0.30, finance by 1.91, hotels and tourism by 2.21, hydropower by 1.18 and investment group by 0.79 percent.

Similarly, microfinance decreased by 0.69 percent, mutual funds decreased by 0.18 percent, non-life insurance group decreased by 0.59 percent, business decreased by 2.46 percent and other groups decreased by 0.60 percent.

In today’s trading, the share prices of Crest Micro life Insurance Limited and Om Megashree Pharmaceuticals Limited have entered a positive circuit. The share price of Gurans Microfinance Financial Institution Limited has decreased by 7.93 percent.

Based on the transaction amount and the number of shares traded, Universal Power Company Limited is at the top today. 15,46,489 shares of this company worth Rs. 672 million, 85,080 were bought and sold.
