KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has published the official foreign exchange rates for today. According to the central bank, the buying rate for one U.S. dollar is fixed at Rs. 141.73, while the selling rate is Rs. 142.33.
Likewise, one Euro is being bought at Rs. 163.49 and sold at Rs. 164.18, and one British Pound Sterling at Rs. 186.34 for buying and Rs. 187.13 for selling. The Swiss Franc stands at Rs. 176.17 for buying and Rs. 176.92 for selling. Similarly, the buying and selling rates for other major currencies are as follows: Australian Dollar at Rs. 92.71 and Rs. 93.10; Canadian Dollar at Rs. 101.16 and Rs. 101.59; and Singapore Dollar at Rs. 108.95 and Rs. 109.41, respectively.
For Asian currencies, the Japanese Yen (10 units) is priced at Rs. 9.20 for buying and Rs. 9.24 for selling, while the Chinese Yuan stands at Rs. 19.91 and Rs. 20.00, respectively. The Saudi Arabian Riyal is being bought at Rs. 37.79 and sold at Rs. 37.95, and the Qatari Riyal at Rs. 38.87 and Rs. 39.03.
Similarly, the Thai Baht is valued at Rs. 4.38 and Rs. 4.39, the UAE Dirham at Rs. 38.59 and Rs. 38.75, and the Malaysian Ringgit at Rs. 33.84 and Rs. 33.99. The South Korean Won (100 units) stands at Rs. 9.90 for buying and Rs. 9.94 for selling. The Swedish Kroner is priced at Rs. 14.93 and Rs. 14.99, while the Danish Kroner is valued at Rs. 21.90 and Rs. 21.99.
In addition, the Hong Kong Dollar is being traded at Rs. 18.24 for buying and Rs. 18.32 for selling. The Kuwaiti Dinar has the highest rate, with Rs. 461.99 for buying and Rs. 463.95 for selling, followed by the Bahraini Dinar at Rs. 375.97 and Rs. 377.56, and the Omani Riyal at Rs. 368.12 and Rs. 369.67. The Indian Rupee (per 100 units) is fixed at Rs. 160.00 for buying and Rs. 160.15 for selling.
The central bank stated that these exchange rates are subject to revision as necessary, and that rates set by commercial banks may vary. The updated exchange rates can be accessed through the NRB’s official website.
