PM Shah to meet capital market and insurance stakeholders today

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Balendra (Balen) Shah is scheduled to hold a special discussion today at 12:00 PM with key stakeholders from the capital market, securities business, and insurance sectors.

The high-level meeting, taking place at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers in Singha Durbar, will bring together influential financial leaders.

The attendees include Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON) Chairman Gopal Bhatta, Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) Chairman Amrit Lamsal, Stock Broker Association of Nepal President Sagar Dhakal, and Sandeep Jalan from Naasa Securities.

Additionally, former NEPSE CEO Sitaram Thapaliya, Nepal Life Insurance Chief Nawaraj Silwal, and Nagarik Stock Dealer Company Limited CEO Maheswar Lal Shrestha will be participating, alongside prominent financial figures Priya Raj Regmi and Ambika Prasad Paudel.

The agenda for the meeting centers on evaluating the current state of the capital market and exploring strategies to strengthen both the securities business and the insurance sector.

The Prime Minister and the stakeholders will also discuss crucial policy reform initiatives and address various contemporary issues impacting the broader national economy.
