KATHMANDU: The federal government has collected Rs 1,079.63 billion in revenue during the first 11 months of the current fiscal year.

According to the daily budgetary report of the Financial Comptroller General Office (FCGO), this total accounts for just 73.06 percent of the government’s overall annual revenue target of Rs 1,480 billion.

In terms of tax revenue, the government aimed to collect Rs 1,325.58 billion, but managed to secure 74.03 percent of that goal, amounting to Rs 979.68 billion over the 11-month period.

For non-tax revenue, against an annual target of Rs 154.41 billion, collection stood at 64.73 percent of the target, reaching Rs 99.94 billion.

Meanwhile, foreign grants saw the largest shortfall; out of a targeted Rs 53.44 billion for the current fiscal year, only 42.82 percent—amounting to Rs 22.88 billion—was actually realized.
