KATHMANDU: Medical entrepreneur Durga Prasai has been released from custody following an order from the Parsa District Court.

According to Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Hari Basnet of the District Police Office, Parsa, Prasai was released on a general date (ordinary recognizance) in accordance with the court’s directives.

The police had previously filed cases against him charging him with cybercrime and offenses against the state.

Prasai had been arrested just a few days prior from Hotel Dialo in Birgunj.
