DELHI: Indian government officials on Tuesday confirmed that an invitation has been extended to Prime Minister Balendra Shah (Balen) for an official visit but said the dates have yet to be finalized.
Speaking at a regular media briefing, Randhir Jaiswal, spokesperson for India’s Ministry of External Affairs, said an invitation had already been sent to the Prime Minister Shah. However, he declined to comment on when the visit would take place.
Jaiswal also said he had no information about the recent visit and meetings in India by Kumar Ben, chief adviser to Prime Minister Shah, when asked whether they were linked to the proposed visit.
