Neeta Dhungana begins filming directorial debut ‘Parvati’ in Kaski

KATHMANDU: Neeta Dhungana has begun filming her directorial debut feature film, Parvati, from Tuesday, with production underway in Mirsa village of Machhapuchchhre Rural Municipality-1 in Kaski District.

Dhungana is taking on a triple role in the project as producer, director, and lead actor. According to cinematographer Sudip Baral, filming commenced following a traditional script-consecration ceremony.

The film features an ensemble cast including Deepa Shree Niraula, Ashok Darji, Siru Bista, Radhika Kandel, Raj Pangeni Sharma, Rajendra Nepali, and Asha Paudel. The project also marks Dhungana’s reunion with Ashok Darji after Man Binako Dhan.

The screenplay has been written by Shivam Adhikari, while Saroj Adhikari of The Cartoonz Crew is making his feature film debut as an assistant director.

The film is scheduled for release on August 28.
