KATHMANDU: Dr. Suresh Acharya has been appointed as the Executive Director of the Policy Foundation of the Nepali Congress.

According to Acting Chief Secretary Krishna Prasad Dulal, Vice President and Head of the Central Policy, Research and Training Foundation, Bishwa Prakash Sharma, appointed Acharya to the post.

Acharya was appointed in accordance with Article 36 of the Nepali Congress Constitution, 2017 (with amendments) and Chapter 12, Rule 33 of the Nepali Congress Regulations, 2076.

Pursuant to Article 36 (d) of the Constitution, 2017 (with amendments), the appointment will come into effect from July 17.

Dr. Acharya is also a former Deputy Chief of the Nepali Congress Publicity Department, former Chief Information Commissioner of the National Information Commission, and former President of the Federation of Nepali Journalists.
