KATHMANDU: At least 11 people lost their lives and 90 others suffered injuries in various road accidents across the country over a 24-hour period, according to Nepal Police.
Madhesh Province recorded the highest casualties, with 6 fatalities and 42 individuals injured. Koshi Province and Lumbini Province each reported 2 deaths, with 21 and 9 people injured respectively. One fatality was recorded in Bagmati Province, where 2 others were injured.
In Kathmandu Valley, no deaths were reported, but 12 people sustained injuries in various traffic incidents. Meanwhile, Sudurpaschim Province and Karnali Province each reported 2 injuries with zero casualties. Gandaki Province recorded no traffic-related deaths or injuries during this 24-hour period.
