KATHMANDU: Swiss Ambassador to Nepal Danielle Meuwly held an introductory meeting with members of the Nepal-Switzerland Parliamentary Friendship Group on Wednesday, discussing ways to further strengthen bilateral relations through parliamentary diplomacy.

According to the Embassy of Switzerland in Nepal, the meeting reflected on the longstanding ties between Nepal and Switzerland, with both sides exchanging views on enhancing mutual cooperation through closer engagement between their legislatures.

Ambassador Meuwly also welcomed the establishment of the Nepal-Switzerland Parliamentary Friendship Group by Nepal’s Federal Parliament, expressing hope that the platform would promote cross-learning and further deepen bilateral relations as the two countries commemorate 70 years of diplomatic relations.
