HETAUDA: Forty-four bridges were constructed in the province by the Bagmati Province Government in the last fiscal year, the province’s Physical Infrastructure Development Ministry confirmed.
The Ministry’s spokesperson, Madan Kumar Ale Magar, said that the ministry spent 63.4 per cent of the total allocated budget in the fiscal year 2082/83 BS.
The province government upgraded 136.6 kms road, blacktopped 231.3 kms road, installed six suspension bridges, and constructed 17 government buildings, 102 community buildings and 940 homes for homeless people and 17 gardens as well in the last fiscal year, according to the ministry.
Spokesperson Ale Magar said seven out of 41 sick projects were completed and the construction works of 23 others have advanced in a speedy manner. Coordination is being established to initiate 11 other projects and four of the sick projects were fined.
