Baglung-Kushmisera road reopens after three months

BAGLUNG: The Baglung-Balewa-Kushmisera road, which was blocked by a landslide, has reopened after three months.

About 100 meters of the road had collapsed due to a landslide in Dablyang, Baglung Municipality-10. Equipment including dozers were used to open the road, which had been closed since mid-July.

Information Officer and Engineer of the Infrastructure Development Office, Anil Bardeva, said thousands of citizens had to suffer when the road was closed for a long time.

Deputy Mayor of Baglung Municipality, Raju Khadka, shared that more than Rs. 10 million has been spent on clearing landslides in this area for the past three years.

According to him, Rs 30 million has been allocated by the federal government for landslide management in the current fiscal year.
