KATHMANDU: The Ministry of Energy, Water Resources, and Irrigation has appealed for the immediate return of materials stolen during the Gen Z protest on September 8 and 9.
The ministry stated that its premises were vandalized during the demonstrations, and fire incidents damaged both four-wheeler and two-wheeler vehicles.
Items such as televisions, computer sets, laptops, printers, photocopy machines, microwave ovens, hard disks of various capacities, scanners, cameras, iPads, mobile phones, heaters, and fans were looted or stolen.
According to the ministry, efforts are underway to identify those involved in the vandalism and theft through CCTV footage.
It urged anyone who has taken or received such items from the ministry premises to return them either to the ministry or the nearest police office.
Otherwise, the ministry warned that action will be taken in accordance with prevailing laws.
