KATHMANDU: Five people lost their lives in separate road accidents in Syangja, Saptari, Makwanpur, Rautahat, and Banke over the past 24 hours, according to the Nepal Police Newsroom.

In Syangja, 55-year-old motorcycle rider Binod Aryal of Waling–6 died after being struck by a trailer in Waling–8.

Another motorcyclist, 55-year-old Khadga Bahadur Ale Magar of Surunga–1, was killed in Saptari’s Shambhunath–8 after colliding with a truck.

Meanwhile, 22-year-old tractor driver Bikram Khadka from Salyan lost his life in a tractor mishap at Hetauda–11, Makwanpur.

In Rautahat, 22-year-old motorcyclist Amod Thakur succumbed to injuries following a crash involving an auto-rickshaw and an Indian-registered motorcycle at Gujara–9.

Lastly, 69-year-old pedestrian Rupawati Sunar was fatally struck by a motorcycle heading toward Kohalpur in Baijanath–5, Banke.
