CHITWAN: Efforts to clear the landslide that blocked the Muglin–Narayangadh road section since Friday have begun from Sunday morning.
According to Chief of Chitwan District Police Office, Govinda Puri, light rainfall has made it difficult to remove the debris at Tuinkhola, where the landslide occurred.
“Work is underway from both sides, but the rain is complicating the clearance,” he said. “We have been trying to reopen the road for the past 36 hours,” Puri added. “If the weather improves, transportation could resume within a few hours.”
Continuous light rainfall and recurring landslides, however, have posed challenges for the clearance operation.
